These terms describe the private use of Basnet Finance, a personal finance middleware application operated by Bas Vangermeersch.

Purpose

The application is used for private account-information access, budgeting, cashflow analysis, subscription detection, and personal finance summaries.

No financial advice

Basnet Finance may help organize and analyze financial data, but it does not provide regulated financial, investment, tax, insurance, legal, or credit advice. Decisions remain the responsibility of the account holder and, where appropriate, qualified professionals.

No payment initiation

The application is account-information only. It does not provide payment initiation, transfers, investment execution, credit applications, or account-change functionality.

Consent and access

Bank access must be authorized explicitly by the account holder through the bank or Enable Banking consent flow. Consent can be revoked through the bank or provider.

Credential safety

Users must not provide KBC passwords, PINs, card reader codes, one-time codes, itsme credentials, or payment card security codes to this application or its operator.

Availability and accuracy

The application is provided for private use on a best-effort basis. Bank data may be delayed, incomplete, changed by the provider, or temporarily unavailable.
